6. Guatemala

Guatemala is located in Central America. When you talk of natural disasters like mudslides, hurricanes and earthquakes, you will be talking about Guatemala. A series of the natural catastrophes have hit the region over the years leading to massive destruction and scores of lives claimed mercilessly. One big earthquake in the 1970’s took a whooping 23,000 lives in the city alone. Worst still is the series of mudslides that resulted from Hurricane Stan in 2005. The slides swallowed an entire village burying all the people and property in the area. It was such a tragic way of being wiped from the face of the earth.
