Top new cell phones of August 2017
Here is a selection of the top new cell phones of August 2017
OnePlus 5
It must be admitted, OnePlus has still marked the market of mobile telephony of its footprint. The OnePlus 5 is certainly the best at present in terms of technical characteristics. Its interface is also one of the most pleasant of the market because it’s close to Android stock.
Its screen is excellent and its Full-HD definition combined with Optic AMOLED technology is sufficient (except for fans of the RV). Its design, of course, is not the most original but the grip is nice. Finally, it is one of the most powerful phones on the market. Only disappointment, some software bugs are present for its beginnings but OnePlus has promised to correct them through updates.
Huawei Mate 9
Huawei’s latest phablet brings an autonomy that should inspire all the smartphones of the market. The Mate 9 thus reaches the 48 hours of autonomy without flinching. Best of all, Huawei has its own system to detect applications that are too greedy to improve resource management.
For the rest, the Mate 9 is a complete smartphone capable of answering all uses. Despite its large 5.9-inch screen, its grip is more than pleasant and only reinforces the good opinion that one has on the mobile. At a glance, the Mate 9 offers a classic but seductive design that will appeal to more than one.
We take again the best of the P9 and improve the defects: better battery life and an improved camera. All under Android Nougat, the latest version of Android.
In terms of performance, the Mate 9 is among the best. We just regret his weight close to 200 grams but it is the setback to have for such a screen and such autonomy.
Google Pixel / Pixel XL
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL deserve their place among the best Android smartphones, and their number one position in the category of the best photo phones makes sense.
It’s no surprise that we discover that the Pixels have the best camera. Google has managed to make a smartphone that happens to match the S7 thanks to a perfect optimization between software and hardware. The Pixels do not really surprise us by their design but it is more the pure Android experience that provides the smartphone of Google.
Honor 6X
With the successor of the 5X, Honor still sets the bar very high. The brand was able to adapt once again to the needs of the digital generation. For people looking for a good phone, nice and affordable, the Honor 6X is a good choice. It has the advantage of offering most of the high-range mobile features, but with a feature/price ratio that leaves quite a few others on the sidelines.
On the technical, this Android smartphone offers a screen of 5.5 inches, whose technology is LCD and the definition Full-HD. Ample enough for this screen size and support the 16nm HiSilicon Kirin 655 processor, an octocore chip with 4 cores operating at a frequency of 2.1 GHz and 4 others at 1.7 GHz. An interesting solution in itself, the latter has the particularity of offering a very good management of resources to produce an autonomy of a day and a half thanks to its battery of 3340 mAh (ie 340 mAh more than that of the Honor 8).
With 12 megapixels at the back, the quality of the photos and the videos are above the expectations, moreover, it is indeed compatible 4G and benefits from the update Nougat.
