Waitemata Harbour

The Waitemata Harbour divides Auckland in two halves and offers the most prominent natural view of the city.  Auckland Harbour Bridge dominating the central harbour was completed in 1959. It’s over one kilometer long and about 43 metres high. It connects the downtown to the northern districts. Running parallel to the harbour, the Quay Street in the central district gives access to Princes Wharf.
