San Sabino

The construction of the church started after William I of Sicily destroyed the site’s Byzantine cathedral in 1156 and ended at the end of the twentieth century. Saint Columba’s remains and the relics of other saints are inside. The crypt contains a grand painting of Madonna and Saint Sabinus’ relics. Under the cathedral there are archeological excavations representing history from Roman to Medieval times.
