Traditional Rice Dishes you can Cook at Home

Chicken Cashew Rice Platter

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups long grain rice
  • Fresh mint
  • 6 chicken pieces
  • 1 tablespoon curates
  • 6 green chilies
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 onions, diced
  • 2 tablespoon turmeric
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoon onion paste
  • Fresh herbs
  • 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 3 red chilies
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon cumin

Directions:

  1. In a slow cooker add the oil.
  2. Add the chicken and toss until it becomes brown.
  3. Transfer the chicken on to a
  4. Add the onion paste, ginger garlic and toss for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the onions and toss until it becomes brown.
  6. Add the turmeric, allspice, and the rest of the spices.
  7. Add 4 tbsp of water and stir well.
  8. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
  9. Add the chilies, herbs and the chicken again.
  10. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
  11. Add the rice and toss until everything is well coated.
  12. Season with salt and cover again.
  13. Cook on low heat for another 2 hours.
  14. Serve hot.
