2. Monumento a los Heroes

Building all in white stones looking like basilica – the place also contains a small in the background to recollect – the pantheon of the heroes is the place where are gathered the remains of the greatest Paraguayan war heroes fallen in battle. On March the1st, these heroes are celebrated by all Ascuncion and several wreaths of flowers are deposited in the pantheon while two soldiers in official dress sit at the entrance.
