6. The Costanera Avenue

Along the Bay of Asunción is another popular place for the inhabitants of the capital who can relax by the water watching the many birds that have found refuge in this bay separated from the Rio Paraguay by the sandbar San Miguel.

South of the city we can climb to the top of Cerro Lambaré, a small hill of 139 meters above sea level at the top of which is the statue of Lambaré Cacique who fought against the Spanish conquistadores, and offers a beautiful panorama of Asunción and the Paraguay River.
